
Dr. Teal Summitt grew up in Benton County and pursued her passion for animals at Purdue University, where she studied in Animal Science. After early acceptance she went on to graduate from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010.
After graduation, Dr. Summitt practiced in Illinois in a mixed animal clinic, gaining extensive experience with both large and small animals. In 2019, she founded Fox Ridge Veterinary Service, a mixed animal practice dedicated to serving the Warren county area and surrounding communities.
Her professional interests include both small and large animal surgery, with a particular focus on bovine obstetrics.
Outside of work, Dr. Summitt enjoys spending time with her husband, David, and their daughter, Taryn. She loves being outdoors and can often be found with her horse, Riley, and Taryn’s pony, Sparkles.

Carrie joined our team in September 2025. She and her husband Josh have 4 daughters, 7 horses, 4 dogs, 3 cats and a small cattle herd. They live in Warren County and enjoy the country life. Carrie is the Practice Manager for FRVS. She oversees the day-to-day operations and ensures the clinic is running smoothly. Her hobbies include horseback riding and spending time with her family.

Amber has worked as our full time Receptionist since August 2021, leading our front office operations. She assists with scheduling, patient intake, records management, public outreach initiatives, and responding to client calls and walk-ins at our clinic. She resides in Williamsport with her fiancée and two daughters, two dogs, and a cat. She loves to talk about poodles and the Indianapolis Colts.

Abbey joined the FRVS team as a veterinary assistant in October 2025. She grew up in Sheridan, IN where she spent all her time on the farm with her horses, dogs, donkeys, cows and goats. She graduated from Purdue University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. Abbey lives in Warren County with her fiancé Andrew, her dog, 2 cats and a ball python. In her free time, she is a volunteer firefighter with the West Lebanon Fire department and practices photography.

Oliva is a veterinary assistant who joined the FRVS team in June of 2025. For as long as she can remember, she has wanted to work with animals. She is currently taking classes to become a certified veterinary technician. Olivia moved here from Louisiana where she has resided since second grade. While in Louisiana, Olivia worked in wildlife conservation where she had the privilege to care for giraffes, antelopes, and bison! Olivia has 2 dogs and 2 cats that keep her busy.

RVT, VTS (EVN)
Kendra graduated valedictorian from Metropolitan Community College - Maple Woods Veterinary Technology in May 2015. With her upbringing on a dairy farm in eastern Kansas, her career has always had a central focus of large animal. Her experience varies from mixed animal to large animal only, general practice to referral settings, and varied services from routine care to ICU and emergency/ critical care to surgery and sports medicine.
In the years since graduation, Kendra has worked diligently on her skill set and furthering her education and experience in equine veterinary medicine. In 2024, after a rigorous application and exam process she gained the additional credentials of Veterinary Technician Specialist - Equine Veterinary Nurse. (She also holds a completely unrelated Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology/Criminology with a minor in Animal Sciences.)
In her free time Kendra enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young sons. They like to explore all things outdoors, Lego, and working on learning Spanish with her oldest!
